Saterbak Wins 2022 AIMBE Professional Impact Award

Ann Saterbak, director of our First-Year Design program, and a professor of the practice in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, has won an award for her innovative and outstanding work as an engineering educator from the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE).

AIMBE presents up to one award annually for each Professional Impact Award category. Awards recognize Fellows that have significantly contributed to improving the professional environment of the medical and biological engineering fields. Nominees were considered on the basis of their impact to the field in these areas, engagement with AIMBE and professional societies, strength of endorsement from recommendation letters, and efforts to diversify/expand the field.

Dr. Saterbak is being recognized with the society's Professional Impact Award for "outstanding contributions to biomedical engineering teaching, and national leadership and service to the biomedical engineering education community."

Congratulations on an honor well deserved!
